The first contact was made way back at the end of the 1980s, when BT Products decided to outsource the tool-related manufacturing of sheet metal parts that it had managed in its own workshop.
BT Products found that Andrénverken had the experience and competence to guarantee the continuation of smooth production processes.
Since then, BT Products has undergone an impressive period of development. The number of industrial trucks produced has multiplied and, since Toyota took over the company in 2007, the work methods and demands on suppliers have been developed in line with Toyota's well-known concept. Today, they are the world leader in large, power-driven industrial trucks.
We feel very secure in placing the tool-related manufacturing at Andrénverken as they have many years of experience in this.
Lukas Olsson, BT Products AB
At Andrénverken, we have been able to expand the collaboration as new requirements shape the business activities. As a certified supplier for Toyota BTE, we belong to those companies that have attained over 90 of 100 possible points in the rigorous supplier assessment.
Personal commitment
Lukas Olsson is a Strategic Buyer – Mechanics at BT Products AB. He believes that Andrénverken fulfils both the formal and informal requirements that influence the point assessment for the supplier certification superbly.
– Service level and the ability to suggest technical improvements in production are such things that we as buyers really value, and Andrénverken is managing this very well, says Lukas.
An example of this is when we, at Andrénverken, raise questions about product review, in order to give the customer the most benefit from our work. It can be about discussing the necessary tolerances that affect technical solutions in the production.
Demanding production
Capacity and competence relating to production are crucial for several reasons in order for the long-term business relationship to work.
– We have great confidence in Andrénverken's ability. We can, in good conscience, place parts there that are suitable for tool-related manufacturing as well as complex production with many work phases. They also handle their role very well when it comes to logistics, confirms Lukas.
Toyota's focus on production lines, with less stock, at the same time as increasing turnover, means that quality control is all the more important.
– The deliveries must be packed so that the parts arrive at the production line in the right order, and this must happen just in time! Andrénverken has a great understanding of this and we're very happy with how it's working out, states Lukas Olsson at BT Products AB.
